Galerie Melbye-Konan, located on Mittelweg in Hamburg Rothenbaum, represents international contemporary established and emerging artists from Europe and Africa. In addition to presenting a dynamic and visionary exhibition programme on 400 square metres, the gallery collaborates with museums and institutions on curatorial projects.
Until 31 March 2023, the gallery presents the new works of internationally acclaimed artist Sess Essoh in his first solo exhibition in Germany, entitled "Homage". The exhibition is dedicated to the great forgotten figures of African history. Across 400m2, the artist's colourful paintings at the Melbye-Konan Gallery challenge our collective memory of these figures.
