Whether in office buildings, industrial architecture, or residential buildings – art sets accents. A sculpture at the entrance, a painting in the conference room, or a graphic in the living room gives spaces and façades a special atmosphere. Inspiration is now offered for the third time with the event Art at Rothenbaum. From October 10 to 12, 2025, 17 galleries, museums, and auction houses in the Hamburg district of Rotherbaum invite visitors to an extraordinary tour through the art scene.
Visitors can enjoy a varied program featuring painting, photography, sculpture, graphics, and design – a unique opportunity to discover, experience, and acquire art from different eras and cultures within walking distance. The gallery tour has established itself as a popular event, showcasing international artists and sustainably strengthening the local art scene. Among the event’s venues is Galerie Melbye-Konan (Mittelweg 169) with the solo exhibition Vision of Collisionsby the artist.
Marie de Villepin (born 1986 in Washington, D.C.) exhibits her work in her own gallery spaces. In 2022, she received the Prix Antoine Marin, nominated by Anselm Kiefer. Today, her works—Marie de Villepin is the daughter of former French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin—are represented in international institutions and galleries. Her art moves between figuration and abstraction and is inspired by music, literature, and politics.
Another venue is KARL & FABER Art Auctions at Magdalenenstraße 50. Here, visitors can encounter selected highlights from the upcoming Autumn/Winter auctions – ranging from Old Masters to Classical Modernism and contemporary art. On display are works by, among others, Albrecht Dürer, Adolf Erbslöh, and John Chamberlain, reflecting the diversity of the institution. KARL & FABER sees itself as a place for encountering art, aiming to spark curiosity, answer questions, and engage visitors in conversations to foster a love of art.
Opening hours: Friday from 5 to 9 PM, Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 6 PM.
