Anna-Belén Siegmann (b. 1997, Hamburg), known as Belén, is a rising voice in contemporary painting. Based in London, she is a graduate of the Royal College of Art. Rooted in abstract traditions, Belén draws inspiration from Gerhard Richter, Anselm Kiefer, Sigmar Polke, and Helen Frankenthaler. Her vivid, flowing compositions balance intuition and structure, exploring spiritual and philosophical themes shaped by her background in psychology.
Central to her work is the concept of alchemy—painting as transformation, where emotion, color, and matter fuse in search of essence and truth. Her canvases become spaces of reflection, bridging the sensual and the spiritual.
Belén’s paintings are included in prominent private collections, such as that of Lord Davies of Abersoch CBE. She has exhibited at the Institut Français in Hamburg and took part in the 2024 exhibition Mouvement, a collaboration with the French Consulate. That same year, she received the Lucy Halford Scholarship, honoring her outstanding artistic promise.
