What’s it about?
Electronic waste is one of the biggest challenges on the path to a circular economy. In Hamburg alone, around 15,000 tons are generated annually — and much more is likely stored away in drawers and basements. If Hamburg aims to become a Fab City capable of locally recycling all its e-waste by 2054, we need creative and practical solutions.
What to expect:
How many old phones, chargers or cables are still lying around your home? Bring them along and take a look inside. What can we create with simple tools? De-soldering circuit boards? Repurposing components? Maybe building a Scrabble game from old keyboards? And what would Joseph Beuys have made of it all?
Join us to experiment, rethink, and co-create — whether you’re an artist, designer, maker, or simply curious.
